Malawi (Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia) January 1992 - December 1992.Based in Malawi, I was responsible for establishing a network of forestry officers interested in promoting appropriate technology in forest harvesting. The APPRODEV network operated in Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia and Uganda and I conducted research and workshops in all of these countries. I also developed a comprehensive set of training and extension materials, such as the APPRODEV Oxen Logging Manual and the APPRODEV Field Reference Guides. Finland's Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
