Reference: Ginetta G40 Maintenance Specs

Jacking points

  • Each corner of the chassis box, diagonally back from the front wheels, diagonally forward of the rear wheels
  • Along the side, following the line of rivets that indicate the side rail of the tubular frame
  • You will need a low jack, maximum 89 mm when lowered
    • Supplies: e.g. Hilka Pro-Craft 2-Tonne Low Profile Service Jack £60 from Screwfix

Wheels

  • Wheel bolt head: 17 mm
  • Wheel bolt torque: 80 N/m

Engine lubricants & filters

  • Engine oil: Carlube Triple R fully synthetic 5W 30 (approx 4 litres to fill)
    • Supplies: B&M £15 4L
  • Engine oil filter: MANN W 712/83 (fitment tool LS7, 76 mm) and alternatives
    • Supplies: Eurocarparts £5.50
  • Sump plug: 25 mm

Transmission fluids

  • Gearbox: 75w90 TDL
  • Differential: 75w90 TDL

Hydraulic fluids & coolant

  • Brake fluid: Sunoco R600+ Racing Brake Fluid (synthetic)
  • Coolant fluid: Standard Ford or similar ‘red’ coolant
    • Supplies: Eurocarparts

Bulbs

  • Headlamp dipped: H7 - 55W
  • Headlamp main: 9005 HB3 - 60W

  • Front indicator: BA9S T8 - 23W clear
  • Side indicator: 501 W5W - 5W
  • Rear indicator: PY12W - 21W orange
  • Rear fog light: H12W - 21W
  • Reverse light: 7506 - 21W clear
  • Number plate lights: C5W clear

Fuses & relays

  • The relays and fuse box are behind dashboard above passenger footwell. Newer G40 dashboards have a removable panel on the dashboard. Older G40s (approx. before chassis number 100) require you to loosen the dashboard and reach up inside to find the fuses.
  • Mini blade 5, 7.5, 10, 12, 15, 25 amp
